International investment firm HS Wind Energy has won a 60-meter calibrated NRG Symphonie NOW System from Hinesburg, Vt.-based NRG Systems Inc. in a contest at the American Wind Energy Association's WINDPOWER 2007 conference. According to NRG Systems, the prize is valued at $15,750.

"The need to drive uncertainty lower in all phases of a wind project is a common theme heard over and over at the numerous conferences we attend," says Barton Merle-Smith, director of marketing and sales for NRG Systems, a manufacturer of wind energy measurement systems for the global wind energy industry. "We think it is important to do whatever we can to provide a stable and reliable platform for data collection that helps the industry achieve that goal. This system does that."
