Cleveland-based Novagard Solutions, a manufacturer of silicone-based sealants, adhesives and lubricants, recently received authorization to apply the UL mark to its RTV 500-940 silicone sealant.
The company's RTV 500 modified-alcohol cure series is ideal for applications that require quick cures and early green strength development on electronic components, circuit boards and other sensitive components. According to Novagard, RTV 500-940 is halogen-free and does not emit any polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) to the environment.
