Mechanic Falls, Maine-based Electro Static Technology has released its new AEGIS WTG wind turbine grounding ring.

According to the company, the grounding ring prevents bearing damage that could otherwise cause generator failure, unplanned downtime and costly repairs for wind turbines. The WTG is engineered to divert up to 120 amps of continuous shaft current at frequencies as high as 13.5 MHz and discharge up to 3,000 volts (peak).

For more information on the ring, contact Electro Static Technology at (866) 738-1857 or visit est-aegis.com.
