N.H. House Votes In Favor Of State RPS

The New Hampshire House of Representatives voted in favor of House Bill (H.B.) 873 in a 253-37 vote to set a renewable portfolio standard.
The bill would require electric utilities in the state to supply 25% of their energy from renewable sources by 2025. Gov. John Lynch, D-N.H., recently sent a letter to the House Science, Technology and Energy Committee urging the organization to support the bill. (See "New Hampshire Governor Requests Support For State RPS.") H.B.873 is now expected to go before a Senate committee for review before the Senate votes on it.
