UpWind Signs Agreement With Enel

Medford, Ore.-based UpWind Solutions Inc. has signed a multiyear operations and maintenance (O&M) agreement with Enel North America for the Smoky Hills II project in Kansas. The project consists of 99 1.5 MW GE wind turbines, which UpWind Solutions will begin operating immediately.

As part of the company's overall approach, UpWind Solutions' technicians are trained for comprehensive O&M and are encouraged to find solutions that optimize wind turbine availability and performance for wind project owners, according to the company.
