Hamburg, Germany-based REpower Systems AG has signed contracts in France and the U.S. for the supply of 44 wind turbines. The REpower MM92 turbines, each with 2 MW rated power, are intended for wind farms in northeast France and in Oregon.

REpower will supply 10 MM92 turbines, each with a hub height of 78.5 meters, for the Echo Wind Farm in Oregon. The turbines are scheduled to be brought into operation next year by REpower's U.S. subsidiary, REpower USA Corp.

REpower's customer is John Deere Renewables LLC, a financial services business of Deere & Co.

"We are delighted to have John Deere Renewables as a partner, who - like REpower - stands for quality and reliability, and we hope to be able to extend this cooperation in future years," says Steve Dayney, managing director of REpower USA Corp.

The wind farm in France will be operated by developer Erelia Haute Marne, a subsidiary of REpower client GDF SUEZ.
