Seaway Wins Foundation Installation Contract For Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm

Dudgeon Offshore Wind Ltd., a joint venture between Statoil and Statkraft, has awarded Seaway Heavy Lifting the contract for the transportation and installation of 67 foundations and one substation as part of the Dudgeon offshore wind farm project.

The Dudgeon wind farm will be located 20 miles off the coast of Cromer in North Norfolk, U.K., and have an installed capacity of around 400 MW. The contract will cover storage, transportation and installation of monopiles, transition pieces, jackets, and the offshore substation jacket and topside. Seaway says installation work will commence between March and May 2016 and be completed in August of that year.
