Lake Winds Energy Park Powers Up In Michigan

Consumers Energy has announced that the 100 MW Lake Winds Energy Park has begun commercial operation.
The Lake Winds project - located in Riverton and Summit townships in Mason County, Mich. - consists of 56 Vestas V100-1.8 MW wind turbines. It is the utility's first wind project and will count toward Michigan's 10% by 2015 renewable portfolio standard.
