Gurit, HAWATT Collaborate On Production Systems For Wind Energy Rotor Blades

NAW Staff, Tuesday 18 September 2012 - 11:27:24

Gurit, a Switzerland-based manufacturer of composite materials and related technologies, and HAWART Sondermaschinenbau GmbH, Germany-based designer and manufacturer of tooling equipment for rotor blades and logistic components and systems, have agreed to cooperate in the areas of mold and transport systems production for wind energy rotor blades.

The two companies will partner without any capital engagement. In Europe, Gurit customers will gain access to a local installation and service organization for molds and will benefit from the global availability of the HAWART transport systems, the companies explain.

HAWART customers will benefit through the cooperation from the fully integrated, industrial mold-making capability of Gurit and the option to mass-produce transport systems in the future, Gurt and HAWART add.

Starting now, customers can choose between Gurit or HAWART hinge systems that technically complement each other.
