Greengate Receives Municipal Approval For Wind Project

Calgary, Alberta-based Greengate Power Corp. has received municipal approval from Wheatland County for the construction of its 150 MW Wintering Hills Wind Project in central Alberta. With the approval of this permit, Greengate has now received municipal approvals for four of its Alberta wind projects totaling 700 MW.

"We look forward to ongoing dialogue with the county and the community as a whole, as we move closer to the construction of this project," says Dan Balaban, president and CEO of Greengate Power.

Greengate expects to begin construction on the 150 MW Wintering Hills Wind Project in 2010 or 2011.
