Infrastructure And Energy Alternatives Completes Acquisition Of RMT

Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives LLC (IEA) has closed on the acquisition of renewable energy construction and engineering firm RMT Inc. from Alliant Energy Corp.

IEA is a provider of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services to the renewable energy and fossil-fuel industries, and is also the parent company of EPC provider White Construction.

Under the transaction, RMT will become a subsidiary of IEA. RMT will remain headquartered in Madison, Wis., under the leadership of newly appointed President John Kennedy, who has over 25 years of engineering and construction leadership expertise. Throughout his career, he has worked in the energy and infrastructure markets, holding high-level positions at Exelon, InfraSource, Stone and Webster, and Roberts and Schaefer.
