American Superconductor Corp. (AMSC), a Westborough, Mass.-headquartered energy technologies company, has appointed David A. Henry chief financial officer (CFO). As CFO, senior vice president and treasurer of AMSC, Henry will oversee the company's finance, accounting, internal audit, information technologies and investor relations functions.

Henry brings to AMSC nearly 25 years of finance, accounting and business planning experience, including more than a dozen years of management experience at public companies. Since 2004, he has served as CFO of AMIS Holdings Inc., the parent company of AMI Semiconductor. Henry also previously served as a finance director at National Semiconductor Corp.

"We are pleased that Dave Henry, a veteran CFO with considerable finance and accounting experience in manufacturing-oriented, rapid-growth environments, is joining our team at AMSC," says Greg Yurek, AMSC founder and chief executive officer. "His expertise in business planning and processes, mergers and acquisitions, and foreign operations are precisely what we need at this stage of our company.
