Naturener, a wind farm developer, has purchased 200 AW 77/1500 class II (1.5 MW) turbines for a total capacity of 300 MW from Acciona Windpower, a subsidiary of the Acciona Group. The units are destined for wind farms located in Montana and Alberta, Canada, in 2008, the companies say.

Acciona Windpower recently broke ground for its new wind turbine manufacturing facility, which will produce its AW 77 models. According to the company, it creates the 1.5 MW wind turbine generator with different rotor diameter options - 70 , 77 and 82 meters - designed for locations with distinct wind energy potential.
