Minneapolis-based Xcel Energy, a natural gas and electricity provider, has issued its third request for proposals (RFP) from its Renewable Development Fund. According to the company, up to $23 million is available to invest in new ways to produce electricity from renewable sources. Funding will be available for various-sized projects in two categories: energy production, and research and development. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 5.
