Florida Power & Light Co. (FPL) of Juno Beach, Fla., has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to identify and select new renewable generation resources to provide clean power to its customers.

The company welcomes proposals that use a variety of renewable energy sources, including wind, biomass, solar, geothermal and ocean current, FPL says. However, the company prefers the projects be located in Florida and be in service by 2015.
