Suzlon Wind Energy Corp. has signed with Edison Mission Group (EMG) for an additional 105 MW of capacity, which includes 50 units of Suzlon's S88 2.1-MW wind turbine.
Delivery of the wind turbines is expected to begin in mid-2007, and upon completion of the projects, EMG will hold more than 300 MW of Suzlon wind turbine capacity in the U.S. This new order from Irvine, Calif.-based EMG adds to the 75 Suzlon turbines being installed across the U.S., as well as 2005 agreements between EMG and Suzlon for machines already installed.
