Reznick Group, a Bethesda, Md.-headquartered provider of accounting, tax and business advisory services, has appointed Matthew Ferguson to lead its renewable energy practice.

A principal of the firm, Ferguson will be responsible for expanding the practice and advising clients on energy-related transactions, including matching renewable projects with tax equity investors, raising capital and maximizing public policy to promote low-carbon solutions. He will be based in the company's Tysons Corner, Va., office.

Prior to the Reznick Group, Ferguson served as director and general tax counsel for UPS. In addition to his experience in alternative investments, his tax experience includes tax savings and product development initiatives, corporate strategy, cross-border leveraged leasing, and debt and equity financing.
