MidAmerican Inks Iowa Deal

enXco Development Corp. and MidAmerican Energy Co. recently announced that an agreement has been signed to develop and construct a 123-MW wind farm located in Pocahontas County in north-central Iowa.

Construction of this project, which will utilize 82 GE 1.5-MW wind turbines, is scheduled to begin later this year and is to be completed by the end of 2007.

"enXco is again pleased to be working in conjunction with MidAmerican Energy Company on another project in Iowa," says Tristan Grimbert, president and COO of enXco. "Making this project a reality for our Midwestern neighbors and their wind energy capabilities has been a priority for both enXco and MidAmerican Energy and we are excited to be providing our development and construction expertise."
