Outland Renewable Energy LLC, a Chaska, Minn.-based renewable energy project developer, recently hired Daniel Rustowicz as chief development officer.

"Dan is a rising star in the wind industry with considerable experience in the area of community-based wind development," says Tom Melone, Outland's chairman and chief executive officer. "We're fortunate to have someone with his background and passion on our team, and we look forward to him leading the development efforts of all our Outland wind plants."

Rustowicz joins the firm from John Deere Credit, where he was the manager of business development for wind energy. Prior to John Deere, he was a senior auditor for Ernst & Young LLP.
