GE To Supply Turbines For New York Wind Farms

Atlanta-based GE Energy has agreed to supply 300 of its 1.5 MW wind turbines to Noble Environmental Power, an Essex, Conn.-based wind project developer and subsidiary of JPMorgan Partners, for 2007 and 2008 projects in New York state.

Noble Environmental Power will use the GE turbines for the second phase of the Bliss Windpark, located in Wyoming County, and the Clinton Windpark, located in Clinton County. Once the projects are complete, they will increase the state's wind power capacity by 450 MW, GE Energy adds.
