Siemens Has Agreed To Supply Airtricity With Wind Turbines

Brande, Denmark-headquartered Siemens Power Generation, a wind turbine manufacturer and installer, recently agreed to supply Dublin, Ireland-headquartered Airtricity with 55 units of its SWT-2.3-93 wind turbine for a Roscoe wind farm in Texas. Siemens signed a five-year service, maintenance and warranty agreement for the wind farm.

The company has completed supply agreements for over 600 wind turbine units, which has the capacity of 1,400 MW and the potential to provide power to approximately 400,000 homes, for wind project development in the U.S. Total order volume of these projects is approximately $1.7 billion, the company says.
