The American Wind Power Center has set up a wind turbine training course at its WindSmith Academy in Lubbock, Texas.

Classes will be held March 30-31. This is an introductory class that is geared toward individuals interested in wind energy and those who wish to gain knowledge of how wind turbines work and how they are interfaced with utilities. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to climb a wind turbine tower.
