Carpinteria, Calif.-based Clipper Windpower PLC, a wind turbine developer and manufacturer, will supply Edison Mission Energy (EMG), a subsidiary of Edison Mission Group, with 32 2.5 MW Liberty wind turbines in 2008.

This order is from a supply agreement that was made in July 2006 for 280 MW of Liberty wind turbines for installation through 2008. An order of 50 MW is slated for delivery in 2007, including installation services and a five-year service agreement, the companies say. Therefore, EMG will acquire an additional 150 MW of Clipper's Liberty turbines, which are built at the company's Cedar Rapids, Iowa, facility, before the contract is up.
