A-Power Energy Generation Systems Ltd. has signed a cooperation agreement with Fuhrlander AG that gives A-Power the right to produce Fuhrlander's 600 kW to 2.7 MW series wind turbines, in addition to the already agreed upon production of Fuhrlander's 2.5 MW wind turbine.

The agreement also provides for a joint component sourcing program in Europe and China, as well as an expanded training program where A-Power's technical staff will attend extensive on-site training at Fuhrlander's facilities in Germany.

"We look forward to being a long-term partner of Fuhrlander and producing their wind turbines for China and the international markets," says Jinxiang Lu, A-Power's chairman and CEO. "This spectrum of wind turbine technology from Fuhrlander gives A-Power the ability to cater to virtually all types of wind conditions and will therefore expand our universe of potential customers."
