Franklin, Tenn.-based Flash Technology, a division of SPX Corp., has released the FTB 360i, an LED L-864 type aviation obstruction lighting system available for the wind energy market.

Flash Technology developed the FTB 360i in response to customer comments about the need for a tightly focused light beam, status indicators to convey real-time operating information and an efficient, compact design for easy installation and longer life.

"The FTB-360i is being embraced by clients who are working to meet the compliance and liability critical function of FAA lighting required at wind farms," says Pete Bruce, business development manager for Flash Technology's wind energy lighting products.

The LED light engine and patented optics used in the FTB 360i were developed in conjunction with Dialight plc, a supplier of advanced LED technology for various lighting applications.
