East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) seeking partners to provide up to 300 MW of renewable energy resources.

Proposed resources can include - but are not limited to - wind, solar, biomass, hydro, geothermal or recycled energy.

EKPC seeks long-term contracts to purchase power from companies that own, propose to develop or have rights to a renewable energy generating facility larger than 1 MW.

As EKPC assesses responses to the RFP, preference may be given to proposals for resources based in Kentucky, particularly areas served by EKPC's 16-member distribution cooperatives. The minimum duration of proposed contracts is five years, but could extend to the life of facility.

Deadline: June 20.
