Clipper, FPL Enter Purchase Agreement for Endeavor Project

Clipper Windpower Plc recently announced it has entered an agreement with FPL Energy, a subsidiary of FPL Group, for the purchase of Clipper's 100 MW Iowa-based Endeavor wind project. The agreement includes the supply of 100 MW (40 units) of Clipper-manufactured 2.5 MW Liberty wind turbines for the project and options on an additional 950 MW of additional Clipper units.

The Endeavor project, which began construction in September 2006, is expected to be completed by spring 2007. Options on the future purchase of Liberty wind turbines include up to 200 MW for delivery in 2007 and up to 250 MW for delivery in each of the following three years. In addition, FPL Energy has an option to purchase Clipper's 50 MW Criterion project in Maryland.

"This agreement builds on Clipper's recent successes of more than 495 MW of firm and over 2,000 MW of contingent sales in the pipeline."
