Daniel Charette has been named vice president of sales and business development for AAER Systems Inc., a division of Montreal-based Bolcar Energie Inc. The company manufactures, distributes and integrates high-capacity wind turbines.

In his new role, Charette will focus on sales and development activities for private and public companies in the wind energy sector. He has occupied several posts in the wind energy industry in the province of Quebec and throughout Canada. Most recently, Charette was project director and renewable energy/business development manager at Brookfield Power. He has been a member of the Canadian Wind Energy Association's board of directors since 2002.
