Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, an international law firm, has announced that Tim Callahan, previously global chair of the wind energy practice at Mayer Brown LLP, has joined the firm as a partner in the global projects group in the Chicago office. Callahan brings to the firm a high-profile transactional practice focusing primarily in alternative and renewable energy.

Callahan has experience with wind farms, power plants, coal gasification plants, hydroelectric, biomass, bio-diesel and other renewable facilities, and in privatization and public-private partnership arrangements.

"Tim is an exceptional individual and leading practitioner in renewable energy, and his addition to our firm will substantially enhance our expertise in this booming field," says John Hawkins, chair of the firm's global projects practice.
