Imperial Irrigation District (IID) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for 325 MW of long-term energy capacity supply.

In an effort to meet energy supply needs identified by its integrated resource plan, IID will consider proposals from persons and entities for two products:

- summer - June through September - dispatchable peaking units from 50 MW to 175 MW of capacity and associated firm energy with reserves for up to 20 years or longer, starting as early as June 1, 2010, and

- annual - shapeable by season - intermediate dispatchable combined cycle unit(s), or portions of units totaling from 50 MW to 175 MW of capacity and associated firm energy with reserves for up to 20 years or longer, starting as early as May 1, 2020 seasonal months consist of October through April and May through September).
