REpower Systems AG has received an order from Cascade Wind Holdings, an affiliate of San Francisco-based wind project developer Cannon Power Corp., for 25 of REpower's MM92 2 MW wind turbines (total capacity of 50 MW) for Cascade's Windy Point Phase I wind farm in Goldendale, Wash.

The Windy Point project is expected to exceed 450 MW and will be managed by REpower USA's Portland, Ore.-based office for sales, project management and service. The project is scheduled for completion in 2008.

REpower USA has also announced the appointment of its new CEO, Steve Dayney, who was most recently with Xcel Energy, where he held management positions in the engineering, business development and project management organizations. He has spent 25 years in the energy industry in a variety of management and engineering roles.
