China Ming Yang Wind Power has announced that its subsidiary, Jiangsu Mingyang Wind Power Technology Ltd., plans to develop and operate a 300 MW offshore wind farm in China. The Rudong Energy Bureau has granted Ming Yang the exclusive rights to build the project off the coast of Rudong in Jiangsu Province.

"This marks an important milestone in Ming Yang's offshore strategy in China," comments Chuanwei Zhang, chairman and CEO of Ming Yang. "Ming Yang expects to continue to leverage the offshore opportunity in China and deliver our innovative Super Compact Drive wind turbine generators as an effective solution for offshore wind power projects in China and beyond."
