Mukwonago, Wis.-based services provider Gearbox Express has named James Snelson as director of engineering.

Previously, Snelson was turbine engineering manager at Dallas-based Infigen Energy and operations engineer at GL Garrad Hassan America. He has more than 12 years of experience in the design and analysis of rotating equipment in both the industrial equipment and wind power industries. His background includes project management, leadership and analysis of more than 3 GW of wind turbine assets.

"This appointment is a key step in Gearbox Express’ evolution," says Bruce Neumiller, CEO at Gearbox Express. "James will fill our knowledge base and allow us to provide our customers with world-class resources surrounding wind turbine drivetrains and how they interact with the overall system."
