EDF Energy Renewables has officially cut the ribbon on its 62 MW Teesside offshore wind in the U.K. Offshore construction work on the 27-turbine project started in February 2012 and was completed last June.

On April 16, U.K. Energy Minister Michael Fallon and EDF Group CEO Henri Proglio inaugurated the wind farm along with EDF's new West Burton gas power station. Fallon said, “Opening two new energy generating projects is proof that the U.K. is a strong focus for new energy investment and the best place in the world to invest in offshore wind.”
