Gamesa reports it has installed its 10,000th 850 kW turbine. The company achieved the milestone at the Adrar wind farm in Algeria, where 12 G52-850 kW turbines have been erected.

Gamesa says the 850 kW turbine has been its best-selling unit since the model was first assembled at Spain's La Plana wind farm in 2001. So far this year, more than 220 of these turbines have been installed across different countries in Europe, as well as in India, China and Algeria, for combined total installed capacity of 180 MW, the company adds.
