Chris Forrest, former head of communications for the Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA), and partner John Churchill have created newjacket inc., a strategic communications firm that will have a focus on wind energy.

Based in Ottawa, and with associates located across North America, newjacket says it will develop and implement strategic communications, with specialty in stakeholder engagement, grassroots advocacy, media relations, social media, and the production of media campaigns.

"Wind energy is definitely the right technology at the right time, but that doesn't mean we get a free pass when it comes to communicating with the public,” says Forrest. “We must continue to work harder than any other sector to maintain the trust that we have earned.”
