Invenergy Wind LLC has closed construction financing for its 148.6 MW Goldthwaite Wind project, which is currently being built in Mills County, Texas. Morgan Stanley acted as the lead arranger, administrative agent and issuing bank for the construction loan.

Blattner Energy Inc. is constructing the project, and EPC Services Co. is performing substation and transmission line work. Goldthwaite Wind will consist primarily of 83 GE 1.7 MW wind turbines; it also will incorporate three GE 2.5 MW "brilliant" turbines, which feature short-term battery storage. The facility’s output will be sold into the wholesale markets managed by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.
