Independent power producer CENNERGI has placed an order with Nordex for the delivery and turnkey installation of wind turbines for the 134.4 MW Amakhala Emoyeni wind farm, located in South Africa.

Nordex says it will start construction work for the complete infrastructure of the project in the third quarter of 2014, with installation of the 56 N117/2400 turbines to follow in the second quarter of 2015. The project is slated for completion in 2016. The scope of supply also includes a service agreement for a period of 10 years initially.
