EDF Renewable Services (formerly enXco Service Corp.) has signed a multiyear agreement with Bishop Hill Energy II LLC, a subsidiary of Warren Buffett's MidAmerican Renewables and MidAmerican Energy Holdings Co., to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the 81 MW Bishop Hill II Wind Project.

The project, located near the town of Galva, Ill., comprises 50 GE 1.62 MW wind turbines. Construction began in the fourth quarter of 2011, and the project achieved commercial operation this month.

Under the terms of the agreement, EDF Renewable Services will provide selected O&M services for the wind turbines and 24/7 remote monitoring from its operations control center.

This is EDF Renewable Services’ first O&M deal with MidAmerican Renewables.
