Gamesa says it has received 260 million euros in funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB) that will go toward the wind turbine manufacturer's research and development (R&D) activities.

The funds will help finance Gamesa's R&D activities from 2013 through 2015. This is the third R&D loan that Gamesa has received from EIB in the last eight years. The loan is scheduled to be paid off in a single payment by 2018.
