Gamesa Inks Deal For Wind Project In India

Gamesa, through its Indian subsidiary Gamesa Wind Turbines Private Ltd., has signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract with SJVN Ltd., a joint venture between the Indian government and the government of Himachal Pradesh.

Under the agreement, Gamesa will build and supply a 47.6 MW wind project in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. The contract includes the installation of 56 Gamesa 850 kW turbines and a 10-year operations and maintenance services contract.

Gamesa says it will commission the project within the next eight months.
