Cv International (Cvi) has released Wind Kit, a portable nitrogen servicing solution designed to address the safety and productivity concerns of wind turbine operations and maintenance workers.

Wind farm technicians, who have had to haul large nitrogen cylinders averaging 140 pounds to the turbine nacelles, have been exposed to both the risk of injury and the potential to damage expensive turbine components, and utilizing long service lines can result in a dilution of the purity and pressure of the nitrogen in traveling up to 300 feet to the turbine, Cvi explains.

According to the company, the Wind Kit allows technicians to quickly and safely get to the point of use and complete servicing without damaging equipment.
