The Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) has elected new members to its board of directors.

Adarsh Mehta, director of development at Acciona Wind Energy Canada, has been involved in the wind industry for the past 14 years. She joined Acciona in 2010 and was previously elected to the CanWEA board of directors for 2008-2011, during which time she served as vice chairwoman, chairwoman and past chairwoman.

Ben Greenhouse, director of development at NextEra Energy Canada, has worked in the wind industry since 2007. He has been involved in multiple phases of wind farm development and operations across Canada. In his current role, he leads the development of multiple wind projects.

Colin Edwards, senior developer for Canada at Pattern Energy Group, has been a senior developer at Pattern Energy since the company’s formation in 2009 and established the Toronto office, where he now leads Pattern’s Canadian development activities.

Roby Roberts, vice president of communications and government and regulatory affairs at EDP Renewables North America, joined EDP Renewables North America in 2010 and has more than 20 years of experience in renewable energy policy, communications, business development and regulation.

Roslyn McMann, senior sales manager at GE Renewables, has served as GE Energy sales manager for western Canada since 2008, and is now responsible for the growth of GE’s renewable energy portfolio in Canada.

Shannon Wever, manager of business development for wind energy at TransAlta, has led TransAlta’s wind energy business development efforts for all Canadian markets since 2011, and has been employed in the wind energy industry since 2003.
