Law firm McCarter & English LLP says Marshall B. McLean has joined the firm's Environment & Energy and Corporate Practice groups as special counsel. He will be based in the firm's Newark, N.J., office.

McLean represents developers, manufacturers and investors in the renewable energy industry. He has assisted in the development, finance and sale of over 5 GW of renewable energy projects across the country, primarily in the wind, solar and geothermal sectors.

In addition, McLean maintains a traditional corporate practice focused on mid-market mergers and acquisitions matters, including corporate finance, securities law and regulatory compliance.
