John Deere Wind Energy, a Johnston, Iowa-headquartered business unit of John Deere Credit, plans to include Canada in its renewable energy development business. The company says it will offer specialized assistance in project finance, construction project management, wind turbine procurement, and wind energy technology and operations.

To assist with this new business, John Deere Wind Energy has hired J. Douglas Duimering as manager of business development for Canada. Duimering, who was recently director of sales for Vestas Canada, will be responsible for development of the Canadian market by building relationships with key developers and overseeing project development across the country.
