Weather Services International (WSI) and Onsemble have unveiled an energy-trading tool designed to improve wind-forecasting reliability within the footprint of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).

According to the companies, WindCast RT (short for "real time") allows wind farm owners and operators the ability to retrieve hub-height data from Onsemble's network of tower sensors located near existing wind farms, collect data near the points of energy generation and monitor wind activity within the state's windiest regions, such as West Texas and the Panhandle.
