Tampa Electric has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for renewable energy projects. Projects for consideration must be in commercial operation by Jan. 1, 2008, or with expected in-service dates prior to Jan. 1, 2013. Proposals may offer maximum resource block sizes of 150 MW.
Tampa Electric seeks proposals that offer the greatest value to its customers based on an evaluation of the renewable generation resource's ability to provide cost-effective renewable capacity and associated benefits, as well as enhanced fuel diversity for the Tampa Electric system, the utility adds.
