Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has elected three new members to its board of directors: Bert Nordberg, Lars Olof Josefsson and Eija Pitkanen.
Nordberg has been elected chairman of the board, succeeding Bent Erik Carlsen. He is currently president and CEO of Sony Mobile Communications, as well as executive vice president in the Ericsson Group.
Josefsson has been appointed deputy chairman of the board. He served as president of Sandvik Mining and Construction, a division of the Sandvik Group, until the end of 2011, contributing significantly to growing a heavy industrials company.
Eija Pitkanen has been elected as a member of the board of directors. She currently serves as vice president and head of corporate responsibility at Telia Sonera, and has vast experience in developing global sustainability at several international companies.
