Somerville, Mass.-based Second Wind, a provider of electronics and software for the utility-scale wind energy industry, has announced that it secured $4 million in second-round financing from Good Energies, a global investor in the renewable energy and energy efficiency industry. The investment complements a previous round of equity funding from earlier this year.
"Second Wind's technology innovation is exactly what helps fulfill Good Energies' goal of bringing renewable energy to everyone," says Jean-Louis Brenninkmeyer, a managing director of Good Energies. "Second Wind's mission to advance the use of wind data to make wind energy profitable is a perfect fit with our own goal of contributing to the transition to a low-carbon, clean energy economy globally."
