This Wednesday, Vestas will release its interim financial report for the second quarter, the company announced on its website. It is possible that this financial-earnings report may include or precede announcements of more layoffs by the Danish wind turbine manufacturer, a report from Bloomberg speculates.
The company has not confirmed or denied these speculations.
Shortly after releasing its financial results in January, Vestas announced that it was laying off 2,335 employees, and the company promised to lay off around 1,600 U.S. workers if the production tax credit (PTC) were not extended.
Last week, Vestas said that due to PTC uncertainty, it was laying off an undisclosed number of workers at its Pueblo, Colo., manufacturing facility, but the company did not say if there were more layoffs to come.
